Those who attended a workshop:
- Found out more about in work benefits and other financial support available to help people with the move back into work.
- Discovered how many people can be better off in work, and how the new Benefits Adviser online calculator can do 'what if' assessments.
- Discussed ideas with local partners to identify how to promote Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit and the other financial support available to people who start work, to encourage unemployed people in their area to get back to work. - Found out about how the In and Out of Work service is helping jobseekers across Great Britain go back to work and ensure they receive the financial support they are entitled to.
- Received copies of the In Work benefits factsheets for themselves and their colleagues, and some Working Benefits leaflets for their customers. Take a look at the working benefits page on the DWP website to find out how you can order these.
- Completed a clear and achievable action plan for them to use in their job.
